Visit http://everybodys-talking.greenopenhomes.net/ to find out more about the event. This is a fantastic opportunity to visit one or more of the homes, which have been made more environmentally friendly and cheaper to heat. You can chat to the householders themselves and ask questions to find out about their experience.
One householder said “During work on internal wall insulation our builder discovered the old pipes to the gas lights that were in the house originally. We had seen a line in one wall but assumed it was old electric wires”.
To visit any of these homes, you must book in advance via West Bridgford Eco Houses at http://wbecohouses.co.uk/. You can also visit the Creative Home Energy Project at the University of Nottingham, on 10th May only.
