The results are in for our survey about the relocation of Water Head by Paul Mason.

The most popular location was location ONE: at Beeston Interchange, outside Arc Cinema Beeston (see above). This location was suggested by one of our Trustees, and the Council team were keen on it too. However, engineers casing out the location discovered that there is a water reservoir beneath the planting area, which would not take the weight of the sculpture. The location will be shifted slightly to the front of the border, in front of the steel frame. Not only will this area be able to bear the weight of the solid marble piece, but it will also mean that the artwork will be better displayed for passers-by along the interchange and bus/tram networks (see below).
The sculpture will be cleaned; the planting areas refreshed, and a information plaque will be displayed.

More details to follow when we get them.
