Beeston Light Night 4 #illuminateTheMidlands
We wish to hold another town wide festival when an ACE funded #illuminatethemidlands installation visits us on 20th March 2027!
Our story:
As part of a new consortium called ‘Illuminate the Midlands‘ we have managed to secure a pot from the Arts Council to fund a touring installation called ‘Reflections‘.
Other cities who will host this work have professional bid writers and council departments who run their light nights. We are a small charity run entirely by volunteers, and have no access to comparable funds and resources, but we still aspire to hold a wider festival around this installation.
Why are we crowdfunding for this?
Shared Prosperity Funding (SPF) attained in collaboration with Broxtowe Borough Council has supported TWO Light Nights.
We now want to hold our 4th but the SPF funding has been scrapped.

2025
Beeston Light Night 2025 transformed our town centre into a vibrant celebration of creativity, community and culture after dark. For one memorable Burn’s Night in Beeston, streets, public spaces and familiar landmarks came alive with light, colour, art, music and interactive experiences enjoyed by people of all ages.

Delivered through a partnership of local organisations, businesses, artists and volunteers, Light Night showcased the talent, energy and community spirit that make Beeston such a special place. Visitors explored illuminated installations, discovered performances and activities throughout the town, and experienced Beeston in a new way.
As part of its commitment to celebrating Beeston’s heritage and supporting community life, Beeston Civic Society was delighted to support and promote this exciting event. Light Night provided a unique opportunity to bring people together, attract visitors to the town, and shine a light on the rich history, culture and creativity that thrive in Beeston.
Residents and visitors alike enjoyed an evening of discovery, inspiration and fun, wandering through the illuminated streets and sharing in the atmosphere created by the many individuals and organisations who helped make the event such a success.
