Our Design Awards 2025 presentation evening was a great success. Our volunteers really pulled together to light up the room with a warm welcome on the very cold night!
Invited guests included all nominated property owners, local councillors and decision makers, as well as children who entered our Dreamiest Bestest Building Ever! competition. Mr Mayor Bob Bullock was attending to officiate the presentations.

People began arriving from 6:30pm to welcome drinks – it was especially nice to have children in the audience: a rare sight for a Civic Society shindig!
Gary Smerdon-White presented an overview of the awards and led into each of our winners.

Congratulations went to Izaan, Mary, Wren, and Busayo for winning Dreamiest Bestest Building Ever! Competition (Bronze (a tie), Silver, Gold respectively)

Stephen Christopher won Beeston Character; Elm Avenue won Climate & Sustainability, and Trent Road was our Streets & Public Spaces winner.

Our 2025 Winner was Elm Avenue.
Our 2025 People’s Choice was Taybah Masjid (Victory Road) – award accepted by Tamar on their behalf.

Congratulations, each of you. What varied and high quality nominations we received this year – the judges had a tough gig!
With thanks to Leander Architectural Ltd for making our prize plaques; Beeston RBL for being our venue, our judges and all those who nominated something.
