The Civic Society is taking part in the 2025 Christmas Tree Festival at Beeston Parish Church. We need your help…
Join the fun!
We’re creating tree decorations out of air-dry clay. and recyclable materials. We’re wanting to represent the things the Society holds dearest, and use our signature colour scheme of ‘pastel brights‘ colours:

The things we are making to hang on the tree are:
- mini blue plaques
- Swifts
- bird boxes
- bees, bugs and beetles
- buildings of Beeston (only for the clay-adventurous)
‘How to’ Guides
We’ve created some ‘How to‘ guides to help you make some of the decorations (see below).
Bees, Beetles and Bugs
Clay bees, bugs and beetles are freestyle – so go wild and create your own version of your favourite critters from whatever recycled or recyclable materials you have.
Don’t forget to decorate them in our colours if you can!
Hand in Your Decorations
Once your decorations are completely dry, you can wrap them in tissue paper, newspaper and hand them in to a Volunteer at our December event, or email Tamar at designer@beestoncivicsociety.org.uk and we’ll pick them up!

Come along to the Christmas Tree Festival
Don’t forget to enjoy visiting the Festival, to see all the local groups and businesses taking part. See if you can spot your decorations in among the others…
