The Society has set aside funds to further grow our local tree population – but we need your help to identify sites which you think would welcome a new tree.
Perhaps you pass somewhere that looks like it could do with a bit of TLC; or somewhere you enjoy which you think would benefit from some shading in the summer months; or even a grassy area where there was once a tree that has since been felled? Please get in touch and let us know the location.
We would then investigate the suitability and viability of the site, and arrange for an appropriate species of tree to be purchased and planted. You could even become the guardian of that tree – if you wished – but either way, you could enjoy the feeling of having done something to improve the appearance and biodiversity of the area, as well as having had a beneficial impact on the environment.
Any suggestion will be welcome. However, please be aware that private gardens and areas immediately adjacent to tramlines would automatically be deemed unsuitable.
Please email us or drop us a line with your suggestion(s). Be as specific as you can, and feel free to include OS references or photographs if you have them.
