Our Treeplanting Heritage

Beeston Civic Society has been planting trees for fifty years. In fact it is so inherent in the work we do that we could also call ourselves the Beeston Tree Appreciation Society.

We’ve created mini woodlands in parks such as at Hetley Pearson, planted copses in school playgrounds such as at Roundhill; planted street trees throughout Beeston, Bramcote, Chilwell and Attenborough; and improved public parks with trees like at Dovecote Lane, Inham Nook, and Broadgate.

We regularly have talks and guided walks about trees – which are always very popular.

For our 50th anniversary year in 2023, we hope to plant more than fifty native trees in schools, parks and streets – as well as a collection of landmark trees in key places around Beeston, which we hope will serve as beacons for tree planting and tree-appreciation for lifetimes to come.

If you’d like to help or be involved, get in touch.

Help us plant trees!

As part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations, we want to plant more trees around our district.

But we need your help!

If you think there’s a public place which would benefit from a tree – we want to hear about it!

Help us raise funds for our #BeestonCivicisfifty tree planting, by donating online or at an event.
